Fingerprint Cards (FPC) and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology has been integrated in the new Huawei T2 7.0 Pro mobile device.

The Huawei T2 7.0 Pro features Fingerprint Cards’ touch fingerprint sensor FPC1145 and Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Previously reported, Christian Fredrikson took over as CEO from Jörgen Lantto on August 1. The change was made to strengthen the company’s organization in order to execute the firms strategy of adapting fingerprint sensors into new market areas such as smart cards and internet of things.

2015 saw FPC strengthen its market position within fingerprint sensors for smartphones and grow from a small company to one of the 30 largest companies on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

According to a company statement, this growth created new demands on both the company’s board and management, and was one of the reason behind the board’s decision to appoint a new CEO.
